SEOUL, March 1 Asia Pulse - Manufacturing companies in South Korea are experiencing their worst shortage of raw materials in six years, a survey has shown.
In a poll of 2,064 small- and medium-sized manufacturers by the Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK), the businesses which reported difficulties in procuring raw materials surged by 12.1 percentage points to 28.9 per cent in January.
The percentage was the highest since 25.6 per cent in April 1998, IBK officials said.
