THE POLICE have arrested two suspects in the killing of a University of the Philippines student during a robbery in Sta. Mesa, Manila, two weeks ago.
Members of the Western Police District Homicide Section took into custody Richard Marzo, 33, and his brother, Francisco, 29, following a raid at their house in Manila early yesterday morning.
The two are currently being questioned for the shooting of 19-year-old Mary Joyce Lattao, a pharmacy student at the UP in Manila.
Lattao was shot twice in the face by one of three men who staged a robbery inside a G-Liner passenger bus along Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard at 8 a.m. on Feb. 15.
A suspect shot the student after she reportedly refused to hand over her bag.
