DON'T blow your top when you try calling the Central Police District (CPD) headquarters in Quezon City and nobody answers.
They are not lazy in answering the phone. It is just that all the phones inside Camp Karingal in Sikatuna Village are out of order.
A fire that hit a residential area at the back of the police camp on Wednesday night burned the telephone lines, which have yet to be replaced.
Consequently, all the police offices in the camp, including the CPD's Tactical Operations Center, Criminal Investigation Unit and Mobile Patrol Unit, could not receive or send calls and fax transmissions.
