Though dead whales, dolphins and turtles are not uncommon to wash ashore, residents in Anduki did not expect a dead camel to come ashore on their favourite beach.

But that was what happened on Friday and the people are trying to figure out from where the 'ship of the desert' sailed in. The dead camel was first spotted in the air by BSP helicopter pilot Captain Frayne Coulshaw.

"Hey, that looks like a dead camel," he joked with his co-pilot as they were flying the helicopter back to Anduki airfield on Friday morning after their usual trip to the oil rigs.
