Independent Democrats leader Patricia de Lille on Sunday unveiled her party's election manifesto in Johannesburg focusing on "bridging the divides in our society". The ID's manifesto identified ten major divides which the party claimed needed to be bridged to create a prosperous and united South Africa. Some of its core priorities highlighted included the economy --especially job creation, poverty eradication, human security, HIV/Aids and education.
