A MOST interesting aspect of every major golf tournament is the list of players who make the cut. Or how some made it to the weekend.

Stories about how the flunkies failed to survive the first two days are likewise endless grist of clubhouse talk even long after a tournament is over. Each victim has his own tale of woe.

Take the case of the DHL 88th Philippine Open Golf Championship, whose fourth and final round is presently being played at Riviera's Langer course in Silang, Cavite.

For Filipino Vic Santia, his advance into the last 36 holes was both sweet and bitter.
