THE Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) has shut down the Ibru Jetty in Apapa, triggering fears of a new round of fuel scarcity. The Ibru jetty is host to a number of petroleum products depot including, Zenon Petroleum, Ascon Oil, Total Plc, Sahara Energy, Wabeco Oil, Ibeto Oil, Thachem and Sea Petroleum and Gas which accounts for over 40 per cent of petroleum storage facility in the Lagos area, excluding NNPC/PPMC depots.
