TALBOT Underwriting's Syndicate 1183 at Lloyd's has broadened its range of operations by taking up the contingency account previously written by Goshawk Syndicate 102.
In the process Talbot has acquired a highly regarded and experienced underwriting team. Franchise approval has been obtained from Lloyd's.
Danny Burns is the underwriter and Susan House the assistant underwriter. Both previously underwrote this class at Goshawk and they guaranteed a profitable account.
They expect to generate GBP10m ($18m) premium income for the 2004 year of account.
Talbot will write a worldwide account with a $10m maximum for any one risk.
