The British Geological Society (BGS) has launched GeoSure, a new ground stability advice service that has been designed to help reduce the risks associated with development on potentially unstable land.
Thanks to new developments in identifying natural subsidence hazards in England, Wales and Scotland, the BGS has been able to develop digital data sets for different areas, based on a computerised geology map of Britain.
