Hantec Investment Holdings said it is in talks to buy out a Taiwan-based investment consultant company.

The main board-listed company, which has been a strong player in foreign exchange trading business, said it plans to tap into the rebound in the Taiwan financial markets, which started during the second half of last year.

``We plan to explore the Taiwan market as the worst for the island's economy is over,'' chairman Tang Yu-lap said.
