Concerned citizens of Rivers State have described as insensitive the decision of the Senate to hold its retreat in Port Harcourt, at a period the state was mourning the gruesome murder of Chief A. K. Dikibo, who was a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

They have consequently urged the three senators representing the state at the upper legislative chamber to honourably resign, or a recall process would be initiated against them for failing to influence the Senate to postpone or shift forward the retreat as a mark of honour for the slain politician.
