GRAEME HANSEN, who has held prominent jobs with Barclays Bank worldwide, has been appointed chief executive officer of the New Zealand Racing Board.
Hansen, 57, will take up the job on March 29, becoming the first CEO of the Racing Board, which took over the functions of the TAB and Racing Industry Board in August last year. Jim Leach has been acting CEO in the interim.
Hansen, who lives in Canada, is a New Zealander who has had a high-level international career in banking in the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, and held directorships in other sectors and industries including energy and health.
