Former Enron chief executive Jeffrey Skilling turned himself in to the FBI and was shown on national television being led in handcuffs to face reported fraud charges.

Skilling, who wore a white shirt, dark suit and no tie, was escorted into a car with his hands cuffed behind his back for a trip to court in Houston, Texas, major networks showed.

The 50-year-old Harvard graduate, who resigned from Enron four months before its December 2001 implosion in a welter of accounting scandals, defiantly denied wrongdoing to Congress two years ago.

Now, prosecutors are ready to indict him for fraud and conspiracy, similar …
