Talented musician Kim Jameson hit all the right notes to scoop a prestigious award at a major music extravaganza - for the third time.

The 16-young-old clarinet expert has played her way to the Victor Ludorum instrumental shield every other year since 2000, at the Cottingham Methodist Church Musical Festival.

The Hessle High School pupil was presented with the award - for the most "meritorious" performance of the three-week festival - at the finale concert of the event. Kim, who has played the clarinet for the past eight years, impressed adjudicators with her rendition of the first movement of Schumann's Fantasiestucke. …
