Redesigned for 2004, the Dodge Durango is a big improvement over its trucklike predecessor and is now more competitive among both midsized and large SUV models. The Durango handles securely, but it isn't particularly agile. The ride is relatively comfortable and the cabin is quiet, although engine noise is pronounced.
