If you've been hankering for a slim, light LCD TV but holding off until prices came down to earth, here's some good news.
The recent entry of computer-makers Dell and Gateway into the LCD TV market, with other big names expected to follow, could accelerate price competition. We tested 17-inch and 18-inch Gateway sets for this report. At $600 and $700, respectively, they cost less than comparably sized competitors.
