THOUGH it was declared "governance" day for her, President Macapagal-Arroyo yesterday made a campaign pitch before a gathering of women leaders in Makati City and later in an anti-drug rally in Quezon City attended by thousands of drivers of public utility vehicles.
At the 38th national conference of the Inner Wheel Clubs of the Philippines held at the Manila Hotel, Ms Macapagal solicited their support to continue her stay in Malacanang. She told her hosts that it was "not wrong of you to give me an endorsement" because it was the campaign season.
