Author: Car sales in China, the world's fourth largest vehicle market, fell 31.6 percent in January from December to 155,500 units, because of slowing demand and the week-long Chinese New Year holiday, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) said. Car sales rose 6.79 percent year-on-year, the CAAM said at a news conference. Car output fell 27.8 percent from December to 142,300 units, but rose 5.8 percent compared to a year earlier.
