HOUSTON COACH MATT GALANTE has been in the Astros' organization for 22 years and he's never seen anything like Houston rookie Roy Oswalt.
"We've never had anybody come up and have a year like he's having," Galante said after Oswalt pitched a three-hitter in a 6-1 victory over Cincinnati late last August at Enron Field. "Forget about the numbers, we've never had anybody come up and throw the ball like he's throwing the ball or have command of the game like he has command of the game. When he's on the mound, he's been in total control."
