DOHA, Feb 6 (Bernama) -- Saudi Arabian multinational conglomerate Abdul Latif Jameel Group (ALJG) has given London's Victoria and Albert Museum a donation of pound sterling 5.4 million to open a new gallery of Islamic Art.

According to a report in the Saudi daily Arab News, the donation will fund a touring exhibition of thousands of Islamic pieces including carpets, glass, ceramics and woodwork across the United States and Japan before they are put on display in the new gallery which will open in 2006.
