Dakar, Senegal (PANA) - Former football stars in DR Congo now feel abandoned by the current government after being accustomed to favours from the erstwhile Mobutu regime that showered incentives, including houses, on the playres after international competitions.

"We are disappointed by the attitude of the Congolese government, which has abandoned us to our sad fate after all we have done for the country," former Congolese international Mana Mabuene bemoaned.
