HSIN TIEN, Feb. 2 /XFNHK-AsiaNet/ -- The Board of Directors of the MultiMediaCard Association (MMCA) recently welcomed Power Digital Card, Co. Ltd. (PDC) as its newest member for 2004. PDC joins a distinguished list of existing board members: Hewlett-Packard, Infineon Technologies Flash, Lexar Media, Micron Technology, Nokia Mobile Phones, Renesas Technology, Samsung Electronics and Sanyo Electric.
The MMCA is the open standard organization that promotes worldwide adoption of small, removable MultiMediaCards (MMCs) designed especially for mobile phones and digital imaging. The Board meets three times a year and oversees all matters pertaining to technical, marketing, compliance and assorted other issues. The group focuses on providing the right card specifications, certification programs, promotional support and market development ideas for the mobile communications and digital imaging community.
According to Board Chairman Yves Leonard, "We are delighted to welcome PDC to our board.
