A minister in the Dutch Reformed Church, Paul Beyl, who earlier claimed he was abducted and hijacked after disappearing from his house in Pretoria has been arrested for perjury, police reported on Saturday. Inspector Percy Morokane said the minister was arrested after he gave police conflicting statements on his disappearance. Morokane said further details on his arrest were sub judice but Beyl would be kept in police cells until his court appearance.
