SINCE GMA-7 stars Iza Calzado and Segundo Cernadas play lovers whose love for each other transcends racial and cultural lines, we play with the idea of transforming them into reel- and real-life partners one afternoon.

They willingly give up their day-off to endure hours of grooming and makeup under Fanny Serrano, the master of drastic transformations.

Our list of six couples for Serrano, Calzado and Cernadas to interpret encompasses several decades and looks: Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman ("Casablanca"); Antonio Banderas and Madonna ("Evita"); George Peppard and Audrey Hepburn ("Breakfast at Tiffany's"); President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy; Sonny Bono and Cher; and Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. (See related story on page E3.)

Since wardrobe plays an integral part in achieving illusion, we tap seven of the country's top fashion designers to come up with clothes inspired by the legendary lovers. The designers do not disappoint. The outfits are not only stylized but also stylish versions of the originals.

Sure thing
