PUBLIC utility bus operators can now enjoy discounts on diesel, which is being enjoyed by jeepney drivers and operators.

Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) chair Maria Elena Bautista told the Inquirer the Department of Energy has agreed to let bus companies buy diesel fuel at P15.50 per liter from at least 119 gasoline stations in Metro Manila and the nearby provinces of Bulacan and Rizal.

Bautista said the discounts for diesel would be given beginning next week.

The LTFRB official added that so far a list of 54 gasoline stations has been distributed to transport organizations.

Some bus organizations in the metropolis, however, did not welcome the latest ...
