EXCEPT for Alaska and Talk 'N Text, the rest of the Philippine Basketball Association teams have already beefed up their rosters with imports in time for the Fiesta Conference three weeks from now.
Alaska coach Tim Cone is still scouting for a reinforcement worthy of the Aces in the United States while the Phone Pals are immersed in a series of workouts also in the US to boost their stock.
An Inquirer source said Cone's choices have already boiled down to two former National Basketball Association players, both of whom possess speed and agility despite their 6-foot-7 frames.
Scouting reports have it that NBA journeyman Matt Barnes, a 23-year-old UCLA alum, could play the guard position and operate at the low post with efficiency at the same time.
