Assisted-living facility coming to Lakewood Ranch.(HOME & REAL ESTATE)

Ground will be broken for an assisted-living facility, the Windsor of Lakewood Ranch, in mid-April, with plans to open in early 2005.

The 80-unit, 100-bed facility will be built at a three-acre site on Nature's Way in Lakewood Ranch's Town Center. The developers are Realtor Cathy Layton, president of Layton & Company; her husband, Pete Russell, of SDR Development and Lakewood Senior Living; Tim Buchanan, president and CEO of Windsor Senior Services; and Buchanan's wife, Gail.
