Ace Tempest Re has announced that it is using US-based modelling firm AIR Worldwide Corporation's CATools software.
The reinsurer will use the software for its underwriting and risk management systems, as CATools allows access to AIR's catastrophe modelling systems.
Underwriters will be able to call up the modelling company's catastrophe loss information directly onto their computers without having left Ace Tempest Re's own underwriting system, called Heuron.
