A company in the North West which has developed a rimless spectacle frame has won a [pounds sterling]47,250 Smart development award to be used to develop a manufacturing process.

Wirral-based Spectacle Warehouse has been given the grant to turn its idea into a marketable product, reports The Liverpool Daily Post (January 21). The funding follows a [pounds sterling]45,000 Smart Feasibility award made in 2002 to study the design's practicality.
