JOHOR BARU: police yesterday confirmed that a Chief Inspector was indeed the second robber shot dead by a security guard during a botched robbery at the Alliance Bank in Segamat on Monday afternoon.
State police chief Datuk Musa Hassan yesterday said fingerprint reports identified the man, who was shot in the face with a shotgun by a security guard, as Ahmad Shukri Hamid, 31.
More shocking was the revelation that Ahmad Shukri who was on administrative duty at the Segamat district police headquarters was supposed to be tried for extortion yesterday at the Johor Baru Sessions Court.
