Monday, for the Flyers, is movie day, but this is no time for popcorn. Instead, the players are shown a 10- or 15-minute presentation of the bad and good from their games from the week before. Any player can be criticized, so it's no place for the oversensitive. But the comments never are entirely negative--coach Ken Hitchcock likes to end with a note of praise or an example of something done well. The presentation is short and to the point. Winger Simon Gagne says it's effective.
"The game changes so much, you need to improve every game," Gagne says. "Watching yourself and getting to see the little mistakes is going to make the difference."
