* The LSU Tigers are fooling themselves by thinking they split the national championship. They are a great team, but they were voted champions based on a contract between the coaches and the BCS. LSU's title is tainted.

* To whoever made the decision to publish two different covers for the January 12 issue: I find it reprehensible that you would discount what the Tigers did on the field this season. Since everyone is proclaiming a split title, why do you say that USC is the "people's choice"? Those sportswriters don't represent me.
