I, like every American, was shocked to hear the news of the Paris Hilton sex tape. Questions of morals, decency, and privacy came to surface; but the most pressing of all was, "Why the hell is Paris Hilton famous?" Seriously, what does she do? She doesn't act or sing or do anything really. I know she is pretty and an heir to the Hilton fortune, but how many other pretty millionaire clones are lurking around the streets of Beverly Hills? They'll eventually get their own reality shows too, but we knew who she was way before her show came out.
In this age of celebrity worship, there is no longer any qualifying factor for those who are famous. The only condition is for them to be famous.
