NEW DELHI: The Samajwadi Party is ready to support a Congress-led front after the Lok Sabha elections. Though the SP will go it alone in the polls, party general secretary Amar Singh said it could "give and take" support from any party other than BJP and BSP in the post-poll government-formation process. But SP's detractors claimed that the party's stand about a post-poll pact with an anti-BJP front was only meant to assuage Muslim voters in Uttar Pradesh and counter the charge that the SP had grown soft towards the BJP.
