As Chesky notes in the blurb sheet that came with this disc, this release "represents an eclectic mix of three original styles and creative personalities that fuse together to make one 'unforgettable experience.' This line-up portrays and interesting blend of musical backgrounds, from jazz to classical to fusion to Brazilian, with each artist contributing their own compositions to the mix." Artistically, that pretty much says it all.
The three performers are spread across the soundstage, with Coryell on the left channel, Assad in the center, and Abercrombie on the right. The church acoustics are just right for this material (actually, things could have been a mess, but Wolifson obviously and expertly worked out the microphone placement), and the blend between the performers is quite good. Needless to say, the instrumental clarity is exemplary.
