Alas, this fine CD got lost in the chaos that is my listening room. I should have reviewed it long ago--given the short shelf life of recordings these days, I hope it is still widely available. It is certainly worth seeking out.

The Stravinsky is the familiar piece here, and under John Eliot Gardiner's direction, it receives a fine performance. But the real selling point of this release is the music by Lili Boulanger, which is most attractive. The Psalm settings are dramatic and colorful, recorded in lush sound, and the setting of a Buddhist ...
