It's no wonder that DAR finds subwoofers to be as much a problem as an aid in a music system. Crossovers are never textbook in the better speakers and that is the best they can be in a subwoofer and main speaker that were not designed to work together. And if they are designed that way, how can the subwoofer work well with a different main speaker? And that will surely reduce the marketability of the subwoofer. Would you buy a separate tweeter and woofer/ mid and use a generic crossover and expect to get good sound?
