GAYA: Nambaryn Enkhbayar, prime minister of Mongolia, on Sunday afternoon laid the foundation stone of the Mongolian Buddhist Monastery at Bodh Gaya, the most sacred place of Buddhists all over the world and the seat of Buddha's enlightenment.

Amidst chanting of the Buddhist hymns by robed monks, the Mongolian PM laid the foundation stone of the monastery at a plot to the west of Mahabodhi Temple. The plot was, earlier, made available by the Bihar government to the Mongolian government for monastery construction.
