PETALING JAYA: Once again, Petaling Jaya police have declared `war' against illegal gaming machine operators in the district.

Despite stringent checks and regular operations last year, the number of machines seized so far this year - 424 - is alarming to PJ police.

"We won't be compromising on this issue anymore and will not tolerate this nuisance," said district police chief Senior Assistant Commissioner II Ghazali Md Amin.

"Every time we nab a few operators and close down their premises, someone else gets into the business and opens their own outlet.

"It is a real nuisance and we have had enough.
