SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Several local nonprofit organizations, with the support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, will announce and celebrate the inauguration of a new school readiness partnership at the Seven Trees Branch of the San Jose Public Library on January 21 at 1:30 p.m. The Kick-Off Announcement and Press Event will feature brief presentations by San Jose Mayor Ron Gonzales and other community leaders.

The partnership is the beginning of a major new five-year commitment of grants by the Knight Foundation to invest in school readiness …
