WHAT HAS GONE RIGHT AND WHAT HAS GONE WRONG

ATLANTA THRASHERS What has gone right also has gone wrong and has an excellent chance of becoming the team's Achilles' heel. The play of G Pasi Nurminen has been good, and the Thrashers have ridden him. But Nurminen has shown signs of tiring and that will get worse. He has never played more than 52 games in any league but was on pace for 64. It might not sound like much of a difference, but 12 games is a lot, particularly down the stretch under playoff-run pressure. For things to continue to go right in the net, the Thrashers have to rely more on G Byron Dafoe so Nurminen isn't burned out by the playoffs.
