Las Vegas City Councilwoman Lynette Boggs McDonald did not violate state ethics laws in accepting a 1999 trip to the University of Notre Dame paid for by Station Casinos, the state Ethics Commission ruled Thursday.

In a 5-1 decision, commissioners found Boggs McDonald properly declared the trip as an in-kind campaign contribution, and that the trip was properly valued at $2,256.
