Shanghai, 8 January: A government subsidized employment scheme, designed to find work for disadvantaged unemployed workers, began on Thursday [8 January].

It is expected that the programme will offer at least 60,000 new jobs in 12 sectors this year, mainly involving social welfare causes with government financing.
