"While the unsteady economy has had a dampening effect on pay levels and pay increases over the last few years, many human resource (HR) positions made strong strides in pay this past year.

Senior HR service center representatives saw pay jump 12.7% to $42,900. Top corporate benefits executive [compensation was] up 10.3% to $143,800.
