A meeting to plan for the new Southwest Elementary School and Bilingual Early Childhood Center is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Sweeney Elementary School gymnasium.
School staff, community members and interested parties are invited to attend.
The 600-student capacity Southwest Elementary School will be the newest elementary school in that part of the city, giving relief to surrounding schools. Santa Fe Public Schools is finalizing the purchase of land for the school near the intersection of Jemez and Rufina streets.
Sweeney is the third largest school in the district only the two high schools are bigger.…
