KERMAN, Jan 2 (Bernama) -- The first medical mission dispatched by the Malaysian Medical Relief Society (Mercy Malaysia) as its immediate response to the situation in the earthquake-hit Silk Road city of Bam, about 120 km from here, found on arrival two partially destroyed hospitals still functioning.
The mission, comprising surgical specialists bringing with them basic medical supplies, visited the "field hospitals" which have been set up, some equipped with surgical facilities.
