Ex-Im Bank: a.k.a the export-import bank of the United States.(Feature Article)
I can still recall the first impression I had of the Ex-Im Bank 15 years ago. It was ominous. It was big, and the company I worked for seemed insignificant in comparison. Although we were pushing over $100,000,000 in sales, we felt that no one in the company had the expertise, nor the time to develop the expertise for what might, or might not have been, a good credit insurance program for our expansion. We ended up going with a program from a private insurance company, primarily because they provided the service and expertise we did not have at the time.
The good news is that the Ex-Im Bank has evolved. Okay, they are not perfect--so what government agency is? ...
