Today's overseas news events have a real-time impact on today's credit managers. All types of businesses are experiencing increased sales due to the current needs of the U.S. military. Weapons shipments may come to mind first, but it's the more mundane, although equally important commodities, such as food, water, clothing, construction and medical supplies that the Federal government is also purchasing and shipping in incredible quantities. Many of these items are standard commercial products, but it is very difficult to purchase them locally as they are needed.
