KIDAPAWAN CITY-Three individuals are challenging North Cotabato Gov. Emmanuel Pinol in the May 2004 elections.

Rolando Felonio Sr., former mayor of Magpet town, Macalilang Garcia and Joelito Fortich have filed their certificates of candidacy before the provincial office of the Commission on Elections hoping to wrest the governorship of the province from Pinol who would be seeking his last term.

Felonio is running under the banner of Partido Demokratiko Sosyalista ng Pilipinas (PDSP) while Garcia and Fortich are independent candidates.
