TORY Prime Minister Edward Heath ordered MI5 secretly to brief senior industrialists about ''subversive'' organisations trying to infiltrate their workplaces, it was disclosed today.

Files released to the National Archives show that Heath intervened directly after MI5 warned that disclosing intelligence to industrialists could undermine their operations.

His move followed a request from the chairman of tractor-builders ...
